From road to rig – Continuous usage of vehicle-in-the-loop technology
The vehicle-in-the-loop technology allows to perform full vehicle tests in a simulated environment. The real vehicle reacts to events produced in a simulated environment – but the vehicles' reactions can be experienced in parallel live on board. While so far vehicle-in-the-loop is mainly used on proving grounds to test the behavior of ADAS and autonomous driving functions, the technology can also be used indoors on a test bench.
