IPG Automotive and Gyeongnam Technopark Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Partnership promoting innovation in the South Korean automotive industry

Karlsruhe/Changwon, September 3, 2025 – IPG Automotive, a leading provider of simulation solutions for vehicle development, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Gyeongnam Technopark (GNTP) in South Korea. The agreement lays the foundation for future cooperation in supporting the local industry through advanced virtualization and digital twin technologies.

The MoU, signed by Martin Elbs, Senior Vice President & Chief Customer Officer at IPG Automotive, and Dr. Dong-Gyu Lee, Automotive Industry Team Manager at GNTP, marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration focused on technological enablement. It demonstrates GNTP’s commitment to working with global innovation leaders and strengthens the position of IPG Automotive in Korea in the regional market.

With its Future Automobile Virtual Center opened in 2025, GNTP offers various support programs for automotive suppliers and universities in the Gyeongnam region. The new partnership will facilitate the accessibility of IPG Automotive’s simulation and virtualization solutions for local stakeholders, aiming at accelerating product and technology development.

The partnership was initiated by IPG Automotive in Korea and is part of the strategic expansion of IPG Automotive's global partner network. The aim is to strengthen customer access worldwide in a targeted manner and to optimally serve regional markets through local expertise.
